Hang the bucket on the spout's hook, leave on the tree with the lid closed. When the sap loses its clarity or when the leaves of the tree begin to bloom, the hole should be closed with a wooden spout, a small branch of suitable size can also be used. The wooden spot or branch should be inserted in the place of the hole and driven all the way in with a rubber hammer, the excess length should be cut off. We recommend that you check the tree after a couple of weeks and make sure that it has not pushed out the wooden branch. If it is pushed out, reseal the hole with a hardwood branch.
